The developers of A Plague Tale: Requiem praised the PlayStation 5 for its power and DualSense

Studio Asobo talked about how the additional features of the PlayStation 5 affected A Plague Tale: Requiem.

In an interview in the latest issue of PLAY magazine, lead level designer Kevin Pinson explained that lighting is an important component of A Plague Tale and that the PS5 hardware has allowed them to take a big leap in this area. In addition, the team is actively using the features of the DualSense controller.

“The power of the PS5 allows us to place more lights and do more things with it. From a game engine perspective, using light as a game mechanic is very expensive, but the current generation allows us to use more dynamic lighting.

Requiem also relies heavily on soundscapes and physical environments, so we’re trying to convey that in a tactile way. Playing with DualSense on PS5 is really great. I’m glad that soon the players will be able to evaluate it for themselves and share their impressions with us!”.

In the same conversation, Pinzón stated that A Plague Tale: Requiem is roughly 15-18 hours long.

Release The project will take place on October 18 this year.
