By the evening of September 5, a second criminal case was announced on the website of the Investigative Committee of Russia, this time against the head and guide-instructor of Extreme Time LLC. They are charged with Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the provision of services that do not meet the requirements of life safety and health, resulting in the death of two or more persons).
– As part of the investigation of a criminal case, an investigative group was organized from among investigators for especially important cases, forensic investigators of the investigative department, as well as a forensic investigator from the Main Directorate of Criminalistics (Forensic Center) of the Investigative Committee of Russia. Currently, on behalf of the investigator, colleagues from the investigative department for the Novosibirsk region are conducting a complex of investigative actions: a search, seizure of documentation in the travel agency OOO Extreme Time, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee reported.
Investigators have already examined the place from which the ascent began, seized the necessary things and objects.
– Investigators of the TFR have done a lot of work to identify and interrogate as witnesses those involved in the delivery of climbers both to the territory of the Kamchatka Territory and to the foot of the volcano. The Investigation Department is conducting a thorough study and establishing all the circumstances of the incident, the details of the incident and the causes of the death of tourists are being clarified, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee reported.
In addition, investigators are interrogating people who brought climbers to the territory of the Kamchatka Territory and to the foot of the volcano.
– Complete personal data of tourists have been established, as far as possible, their relatives are being interviewed. For these purposes, instructions were sent to the investigative departments of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation at their place of residence. As well as instructions to the criminal investigation authorities of the Kamchatka Territory in order to establish their placement on the territory of the Kamchatka Territory.
