Gaza – The military spokesman for the Egyptian Armed Forces, Colonel of Staff Colonel Gharib Abdel Hafez Gharib, announced that Egypt, Jordan and the UAE carried out the operation to drop tons of humanitarian aid over the Gaza Strip.
The Egyptian Armed Forces spokesman said in a statement: “In continuation of the strenuous efforts made by the Egyptian state in support of the brotherly Palestinian people, and in cooperation with all parties and international forces to defuse the current crisis and reach a comprehensive truce inside the Gaza Strip to end the extremely difficult humanitarian tragedy faced by the Palestinian citizens in Gaza Strip: The Egyptian Air Force intensified its daily sorties in cooperation with its counterparts from the sisterly United Arab Emirates to carry out air drops of tens of tons of food aid and urgent relief materials to the northern Gaza Strip.
The same spokesman added: “This coincides with the implementation of a number of air sorties in cooperation with friendly and sister countries participating in the international coalition, such as the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the continuation of air drops of humanitarian aid to the affected areas in the northern Gaza Strip.”
He pointed out that this comes “in connection with Egyptian efforts and endeavors at all levels to inform the international community of its responsibilities towards implementing relief aid in the Gaza Strip in an adequate and sustainable manner and working to stop the war and prevent the expansion of the circle of conflict in the region.”
