On September 5, 1998, the starting flag was waved for the first International Vintage Grand Prix for historic motorcycles in Pitzenberg near Schwanenstadt. This Saturday and Sunday the legendary event organized by the Schwanenstadt Motorsport Association will take place for the 13th time. 310 drivers from ten nations submitted their entries.

In the “Run of Legends”, which was introduced in 2016 and is once again one of the highlights this year, world-class pilots are once again at the start. True icons of road racing were signed, including the Italian 500cc world champion from 1981, Marco Lucchinelli, and the Spanish superbike runner-up world champion Ruben Xaus. Also there are the sidecar legends Rolf Biland/Kurt Waltisperg from Switzerland and the Austrian world champions Klaus Klaffenböck/Christian Parzer.

The training sessions are scheduled for Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the races will take place on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. Admission is just 25 euros.
