The era of Hannah Dingley, the first woman in history to coach a professional club in England, is already coming to an end. Appointed on July 4, the interim coach of Forest Green Rovers will be replaced by David Horseman, coach of the Southampton U23s.

But barely twelve days after his appointment – the 39-year-old Englishwoman had taken over from Duncan Ferguson, dismissed following the club’s relegation to League Two -, his replacement has already been found: it is David Horseman, coach of the Southampton U23s and assistant to Rubén Sellés at the end of last season, revealed on Monday the BBC.

Holder of a professional UEFA coach license, Dingley was still able to lead his team during a friendly match against Melksham (1-1), resident of D8, and supervise an internship in Ireland. She will also always be present during the club’s next pre-season matches against Coventry (Tuesday) and the Everton U21s (Wednesday), before giving way to her successor.
