“Motor oil, which is sold under the brands of large chain stores, is usually produced at some legal petrochemical production. Another issue is that its quality is far from the best. Cheap third-rate oil is often poured into such canisters. This does not mean that the engine of your car will immediately jam, but if you use such a liquid all the time, then there is a possibility of problems, such as scuffing in the cylinders, increased output or the appearance of heavy soot, ”said the auto expert. He noted that an owner who takes care of his car is unlikely to buy cheap oil from a chain store. Mostly it is bought by owners of old Zhiguli, who, in the event of a motor failure, will be able to sort it out on their own in the shortest possible time and not spend a lot of money on components. In addition, such a lubricant is used at car depots, pouring it into various equipment in order to save on this, the auto expert emphasized.
Petr Bakanovin said that it is better not to experiment and not to pour cheap oils into new cars. The fact is that, the expert said, automakers, releasing vehicles, test oils and then recommend purchasing what is really suitable for a particular car. Manufacturers of cheap oils often cannot pass serious tests because there is simply no such task: it is more important to sell this product.
