Today, December 12, marks the 81st anniversary of the birth of People’s Artist Vitaly Solomin.
The creative path of Vitaly Solomin was very eventful. The actor became famous for his roles in the popular films “Here is My Village”, “Winter Cherry”, “Pan or Lost” and other films, gave the audience an unforgettable image of Dr. Watson and passionately devoted himself to his beloved work until the end of his days. The personal life of the artist was no less tumultuous.
The first serious love came to Vitaly Solomin while still studying at Sliver. In the penultimate year, fate brought him together with a student at the Shchukin School, Natalya Rudnaya, the daughter of the famous journalist, writer and playwright Vladimir Rudny. Solomin literally lost his head from the beauty and soon proposed to her. In 1963, the lovers became husband and wife.
Alas, life together did not live up to the expectations of the actor. He dreamed of a quiet family hearth, but the young wife could not give him this. Accustomed to the bohemian metropolitan environment, Rudnaya did not want to give up social life and the attention of other men, and the quick-tempered Solomin often tormented her with jealousy.
After five years of marriage, in 1968, the relationship of the spouses finally cracked. After parting with his wife, the actor decided to devote himself to his career and not marry again. However, everything changed when a new love appeared in his life.
Soon after the divorce, Vitaly Solomin met his colleague Maria Leonidova. The actors met at a screen test in 1970 and have not parted since. The wife gave the artist not only the comfort of home, which he had dreamed of for so long, but also two daughters: Anastasia and Elizabeth.
The second marriage of the star turned out to be much stronger than the first, but it was not cloudless. Once, a serious threat loomed over family happiness. At some point, the exemplary husband became seriously interested in the young actress Elena Tsyplakova and almost ruined his marriage. Fortunately, a fleeting affair did not force the artist to leave the family.
After some time, Solomin broke up with his mistress, and the compliant wife forgave him his infidelity. After that, the actor was more than once credited with novels on the side, he stayed with his wife and lived with her for 30 years, until his sudden death.
