A British woman who works in George VI Chapel said she was among the few who were able to see the tomb of Queen Elizabeth II, noting that she had sad feelings when she saw the names of the Queen and Philip on the marble for the first time.
The woman reported that she was able to see the black board inscribed with the name of the late Queen Elizabeth II, along with the name of her father George VI, Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and her late husband Prince Philip, who died last year.
She added, “It was very touching to see their names like this, I feel very lucky, because I was among the first who were able to see this,” according to the newspaper “Daily Mail”.
A picture published by the account of the royal family in the United Kingdom showed the name of King George VI from 1895-1952, before adding later the name of Elizabeth 1900-2002, Elizabeth II 1926-2022, then Philip 1921-2021.
In the center of the marble is a metal Garter star, and the badge of the Order of the Ribat, the country’s oldest and most prestigious equestrian rank.

And the British woman considered that others would want to travel to see the black marble stone, noting that she went to the church to pray, and fortunately was able to see the final resting place of Queen Elizabeth II, as she put it.
She pointed out that she recognized the stone through the pictures she saw in the media during the funeral, but soon realized that the names of the Queen and Prince Philip had been added.
