The TIF was filled with flowers, as the Flower Exhibition takes place from today.
Flower growers and sellers have set up their stalls in its courtyard TEF with flower arrangements and gardening and floriculture items.
Flowers and florist prices
The traffic today is observed to be reduced, due to the Easter holidays, but also the postponed May Day holiday which is celebrated today. Kostas Tsampazis, the owner of nurseries, participates in the Flower Show by having his own stall, which has roses priced at 6 euros, while he also sells fruit-bearing items for outdoor use and a variety of earthenware products for the garden.
Speaking to Thesstoday, he said that “things are somewhat sluggish this year, as citizens’ finances are not good. Also, a lot of people are missing from the city because of Easter, but also the moved May Day”.
The best seller and the rare flower
According to iefimerida, despite the reduced traffic, some citizens visited the Flower Show either to stroll through the colorful streets formed by vendors, or to buy flowers to decorate their homes.
Today’s best seller is the rose, producers report to ThessToday. In addition to the common types of flowers, one can also find more rare species such as Gibasis, but even… cacti in the colorful corridors of the Flower Show.
