Al-Marsad newspaper: Food security advisor, Engineer Abdul Aziz Al-Yaqout, explained that there are no hormones in local chickens “completely”.
“The use of hormones is criminal in Saudi Arabia, and there are no hormones in the local chicken sector,” he said during an interview with “Al-Ekhbariya” channel, “finally,” pointing out that this matter is subject to control by the Food and Drug Authority and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
On what is rumored that the greater the size of the chicken, the more it is fed with hormones, and when the weight of the chicken decreases, it is more beneficial, he said: “The local breeds in the Kingdom are naturally genetically modified, and all feeds are free of any hormone, either directly or indirectly.
