The Spanish ex-soccer player Pelayo Novo died yesterday after being hit by a train from Oviedo, in a situation that has not yet been clarified. The 32-year-old played wheelchair tennis after leaving professional soccer after falling from a third story in 2018.

The fatal event occurred before 8:00 p.m., in the vicinity of La Malata park, in La Corredoria, in Oviedo. The formation covered the Renfe line between Oviedo and Siero. The fact is in the investigation stage.

Novo was a footballer for Albacete, Lugo, Elche, Córdoba and Oviedo. He retired five years ago after he fell from the third floor of a hotel in Huesca, when he was concentrating with his colleagues from Albacete.

His body ended up in the inner courtyard of the Abba hotel. Due to his injuries, he was rushed to the Clínico de Zaragoza hospital on March 31, 2018.

Since then, she has searched for her place in wheelchair tennis. At the moment, He was one of the best tennis players in his country and was part of the board of directors of the Asturian Tennis Federation.
