The president of the FHF, Arnaud Robinet, recognizes a “temporary risk” as to the closure of hospital services “in a large number of cities” with the capping of the salaries of temporary workers.

Arnaud Robinet, Horizons Mayor of Reims and President of the French Hospital Federation (FHF), reaffirms his “support” the application of the Rist law which aims, among other things, to cap the remuneration of temporary doctors from April 3. Invited Sunday March 12 on franceinfo, he claims the possibility for the prefects of “requisition the staff when the time comes and in particular the temporary workers” facing “risque” to see hospital services close in a “large number of cities”, especially medium-sized cities. A risk he insures “temporary”.

“We can’t go on like this”

The boss of the French Hospital Federation denounces “unacceptable excesses” the use of temporary workers, “paid between 2,000 and 5,000 euros per day”, while “in the same team of doctors, hospital practitioners, are paid twice as much”.

“We can’t go on like this”believes Arnaud Robinet, recalling that “behind this is public money”, “1.5 billion euros spent each year”according to him. “It is not a question of being against temporary work, but of regulating and capping its cost”adds the president of the FHF, which must allow the application of the Rist law, not without consequences on the public hospital.
