During the World Cup, Khalid Al-Mislam, a photojournalist for the Qatari TV channel Al Kass, who worked at the tournament, died, according to the channel’s Twitter page.
The TV channel did not specify the cause of death of the photographer.
This is the second death of a media worker at the tournament. December 9, American football commentator Grant Wahl died during the quarter-finals between the national teams of Argentina and the Netherlands.
CNN reported that 48-year-old Val became ill at the Lusail stadium during extra time, the doctors could not save him.
Shortly before Val’s death toldwho visited a clinic in Qatar due to health problems and chest discomfort, he was diagnosed with bronchitis.
