This afternoon, the funeral of the majestic funeral of the sister of the mayor of Sidon, engineer Muhammad al-Saudi, Hajja Amal Ahmed al-Saudi al-Baba (Umm Ghassan), the widow of the late Hajj Youssef al-Baba, was held this afternoon, where her son, the engineer Muhammad al-Baba, prayed over her pure body in the Al-Ghufran Mosque, then she was laid to rest in the new Sidon cemetery. After the burial, personalities, actors and organizations offered condolences to the family of the deceased: her sons: Dr. Ghassan (Secretary General of the Islamic Bank in Jeddah), engineers Muhammad Waleed and Hajj Hussam Al-Baba, and to the brothers of the deceased: Hajj Abdul Ghani, engineers Helmy and Hassan, and to the rest of the family.
Health conditions prevented the Saudi engineer from participating in the funeral due to his infection with Corona, as he accepted condolences by phone at his home, and among the mourners were the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Professor Nabih Berri, the State of the Prime Minister, Professor Najib Mikati, the State of the President, Professor Fouad Siniora, and official figures and various actors. And mayors and members of municipal councils.
Condolences will continue to be accepted on the second and third days, Saturday and Sunday, January 14 and 15, 2023, in the Mouwasat Association Hall in Sidon:
For men: on the first floor, from the afternoon call to the evening prayer call
