A few minutes after the three whistles signaling the end of the Sporting de Charleroi season, Mehdi Bayat spoke about the future of the Zèbres.
As we know, Mehdi Bayat does not have his tongue in his pocket and when it is time to take stock of the season of his Sporting, and even to talk about the next one, he does not take detours.
“If we take stock of this season, it’s true that we didn’t start well,” said Mehdi Bayat. “We had a bad time, we changed coach and Felice came back. With him, we saw another Charleroi. We showed again tonight that we could shake up Genk. We can therefore be proud of everything that has been done since the end of the World Cup and we can look to the future”.
And the future, how will it take shape at Mambourg? “We will start working now on the following season, we will be active in the transfer window and we will resume in mid-June with Felice Mazzù at the helm”.
Felice Mazzù will therefore be able to calmly prepare for the next exercise with an objective announced by Mehdi Bayat: “We want to fight for the top 6”.
