The government reports that resources from the Che Tapäi program are available to the MUVH

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Government asserted that the economic resources intended for indigenous housing are kept within the Che Tapyi program already at the disposal of the Ministry of Urban Planning, Housing and Habitat (MUVH).

Through a statement issued this Sunday, the Presidency of the Republic states that housing funds were never used for other purposes.

It maintains that the resources remain within the housing plan and at the disposal of the MUVH.

“The Government of the Republic of Paraguay regrets the misinformation that does not conform to the clear constitutional mandate of Article 28 of the National Constitution and emphatically denies that funds from the Che Tapyi program, intended for housing construction for indigenous communities, have been used for the repair of the presidential plane and helicopter,” the statement said.

It is also clarified to the public that “consultations were made with Taiwan regarding the funds to temporarily cover (to later be fully replaced) the repair costs of the aircraft that were detained in Brazil since the middle of last year. However, the funds were ultimately not used.”
