Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Brittany, Ile-de-France, New Aquitaine, Occitanie and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Flu indicators and flu symptoms are increasing in these six regions according to Public Health France. Besides theAuvergne-Rhône-Alpesl’Occitanie and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur are in the epidemic alert phase. The New Aquitaine as well as the rest of the mainland regions are in the pre-epidemic phase. The last winters had been much calmer due to confinements and other sanitary restrictions.

Public Health France fears a strong epidemic resumption of influenza in the days following the various lifting of health restrictions linked to the Covid-19. Also, “the French have been less infected than usual and are therefore less immunized on a collective level, which favors a resumption of the epidemic this winter.”

The agency notes that the bronchiolitis epidemic, for its part, is now over in all regions of metropolitan France.
