The guy lost nearly 136 kg thanks to surgery

A guy has struggled with weight all his life when he weighed 525 pounds (about 238 kg). After trying many ways to lose weight but failed, he decided to have surgery to lose nearly 136 kg.

According to the sheet New York Post On February 22, Charles Gonzalez (30 years old from Huntington Station, New York, USA) who is currently working as a manager at Advance Auto Parts (auto parts supply store) lost nearly 300 pounds (about 136 kg) thanks to the help. by Dr. David Buchin (director of bariatric surgery at Huntington Hospital)

“Gonzalez is severely obese and has a body mass index over 80. That weight actually reduces life expectancy,” the doctor said.

Dr. Buchin suggested a simple duodenal-ileal bypass. This is a relatively new, active slimming procedure.

The combined approach has yielded better, longer-lasting results for patients with extremely high BMIs because it leads to less vitamin deficiencies and nutrient malabsorption, the doctor said.

But before Gonzalez could safely have surgery, he had to lose 100 pounds on his own by eating more moderately and going for a walk.
