Tite resigned as head coach of the Brazil national football team after losing the quarter-final match of the 2022 World Cup with Croatia. This was announced by the coach at the post-match press conference, his quotes edition of O Globo.
“I have already spoken about this before. I’m not the one who will make drama to keep my place. Everyone who knows me knows about it,” said the 61-year-old Brazilian.
Brazil conceded Croatian national team in the penalty shootout – 2:4. At the same time, the South Americans were leading a few minutes before the end of extra time with a score of 1:0.
Brazilians from the start of the championship were considered the main favorites of the tournament. After the completion of the 1/8 finals, the probability of their victory in the tournament was estimated at 30%.
Tite took charge of the Brazil national team in 2016. Under his leadership, the team won the America’s Cup (2019). At the 2018 World Cup, the team also lost in the quarterfinals to the Belgian team.
