Scientists have studied the head of an ancient Egyptian mummy that was found in a doctor’s home in the British city of Kent.

The CT scan results showed that this skull belonged to a woman who lived about 2,000 years ago.

The tomography also showed that the brain is not present, and this was one of the main operations in the mummification of the dead in ancient Egypt. But the tongue is in good condition and in place. It also turned out that there is a tube in the left nostril and spinal canal, but it was not determined whether it dates back to the time of ancient Egypt.
Researchers have not determined how this head arrived at the British doctor’s home, but they assume that it was brought from Egypt in the nineteenth century and passed there as a family inheritance.
This hypothesis is linked to a phenomenon that was common in the Victorian era (the period of the reign of Queen Victoria), when guests were watching the process of exhuming mummified bodies.
