The Heir Apparent

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia holds a deep-rooted history of prioritizing and investing in the holiest of places. This approach has been inherited from the founder, King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman, and has continued on to the current Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The unwavering interest in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah extends beyond borders, with both citizens and the government placing great importance on these sacred sites. Recently, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman made his third visit to Medina, affirming the significance and greatness that this holy spot holds in the hearts of the leadership. In addition to this, the Crown Prince has launched several initiatives focused on expanding and improving services for visitors to Madinah. The royal family’s unwavering dedication to these sacred sites is not a coincidence, but a duty imposed by the Saudi methodology on which the country was founded.

It is impossible to talk about the importance that the state – the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – attaches to the holy places, in isolation from the history that established this approach, which is still moving at a steady and clear pace, more than a hundred years ago.

The kingdom was given, “by inheritance”, from the era of the founder, King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman – may God rest his soul – until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz; Unrivaled interest, without borders, in the Two Holy Mosques, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah became a seed planted by the state in terms of interest and priority, in the same official and citizen alike.

And tonight, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Muhammad bin Salman, reached Medina, in a sign that confirms the importance and greatness of this sacred spot in the hearts of the leadership, which spares no effort or delay in what serves it, as it is the city of the Chosen One, may God bless him and grant him peace, the most honorable of human beings.

Praying in the Prophet’s Mosque, the honorable garden, and peace be upon the Prophet, the best of blessings and peace be upon him, and his two companions, is an approach adopted by the Crown Prince, especially since this is the third visit that he is making in a short period, and in that is a message of high value and meaning, through which he seeks “whoever loves the people and loved him”; To inculcate this approach, in the soul of every person, whether he is on the land of the Kingdom or outside it. This is on the one hand, and on the other hand, it is an affirmation of the extensive royal care that the Crown Prince attaches to this pure spot, which is considered one of the treasures of the pure Saudi lands.

Whoever knows the Crown Prince’s movements, whether closely or through the media, feels a lot of certainty that he is making this visit, more than checking him out, to touch any need for the Prophet’s sanctuary, to which hundreds of thousands of Muslims flock, especially in the holy month of Ramadan from every General, to perform prayers, especially Taraweeh and Tahajjud, seeking forgiveness from God Almighty.

In a parallel aspect that confirms the royal care that the state gives to Madinah, the Crown Prince adopted the launch of the “Visions of the City” project in the year 2022 AD, and this comes as an affirmation of his interest in raising the level of services provided to visitors to Madinah, as an Islamic and cultural destination, which millions of Muslims from around the world aspire to visit.

In the same aspect, the launch of the Crown Prince gives the largest expansion in the history of the Quba Mosque, by 10 times its current area, to accommodate about 66 thousand worshipers, evidence of the great care of Medina, its residents and visitors.

The royal attention and care that the state attaches to the holy places, the two holy places, and the historic mosques, was not born of coincidence, or an effort to compliment someone, or a desire to brag and a request to see it with an eye of pride, as much as it is a duty imposed by the Saudi methodology, on which the unifier of this country was founded. And it was carried after him by his sons, the kings of this state, and it was subject to the school of the father and father, King Salman, and a crown prince graduated from it, evening in one city, and morning in another.. as it is the dawn of the day, when it came to Medina, the second holiest place on earth, and the stable of the honorable Messenger of the nation .

In conclusion, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment and care for the holy places, including Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, is not just a duty but also a fundamental aspect of its identity. The Crown Prince’s repeated visits and projects to enhance the visitor experience in Madinah is a testament to the nation’s dedication to ensuring the comfort and reverence of Muslims from all over the world. The importance and greatness of these sacred sites in the hearts of the leadership cannot be overstated, and it is a source of pride for Saudi Arabia to have the honor of being home to them. May the efforts of the state continue to serve the millions of pilgrims who flock to these holy places every year.
