The high-speed electric train is 1985 km long and needs 45 million cubic meters of basalt and dolomite

The country is implementing the longest electric traction railway forhigh speed electric trainGiven the length of the railway that extends from Cairo to the farthest point in Aswan, the project requires millions of tons of quarry materials and earth needed to build railway bridges, which are implemented by Egyptian companies.

The following points show the quantities of quarry materials used to build the railroad bridge of the high-speed train.

1. The length of the high-speed electric train track network is 1985 km.

2. The track needs 223.5 million m3 of dirt.

3. It is planned to use 34 million m3 of bedrock / dolomite.

4. 12.5 million m3 of basalt will be used.

5. Limestone crushing resulting from excavation and blasting works for the project path.
