The Houdeng customs depot (La Louvière), on the Garocentre site, was the target of a fire on Sunday morning. The Mons public prosecutor’s office confirmed this Monday the criminal origin of the fire in the building, mentioned in the local press, as well as a break-in.
Weapons, in particular, were stolen, adds the prosecution. It remains to be clarified whether these weapons were the result of seizures or whether they were the property of customs. Vehicles were also stored in this hangar. Several of them were found charred.
Numerous investigative tasks must be carried out to understand how the facts took place and make an exact inventory of what was stolen.
