The immersive activity Les Brunantes settles in the Boisé-de-la-Marconi

EVENT. After several other Quebec cities, it’s Drummondville’s turn to host the immersive activity Les Brunantes, as announced last spring. Presented free of charge between September 9 and October 1, the unusual and poetic route combines nighttime screenings and walks in the forest at Boisé-de-la-Marconi.

“I invite the population of Drummondville and the surrounding area to come and experience this very first experience of nocturnal projections in the forest in Drummondville. Of high quality, this activity will allow us to discover the talent of artists in an original and accessible context!” says Stéphanie Lacoste, Mayor of Drummondville.

Composed of 21 short films, art films, animated films and animated GIFs for the whole family, Les Brunantes presents different works wherever they go.

Works from here and elsewhere

During the route presented by Musée ambulant, it will be possible to enjoy a short film on a tree, a rock or stumps that run along the paths of the Boisé-de-la-Marconi nature reserve, because the elements of the path are used as a projection surface.

The works come from local artists, but also from England, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Colombia, Germany and Ukraine. Several films from the National Film Board are in the spotlight, and three films from the Wapikoni mobile organization, which enables young Aboriginal people to make their first films, are also part of the program. Moreover, this collaboration was woven especially for the Drummondvilloise edition.

The course of approximately one hour to one and a half hours will end with mediators from the Mobile Museum who will fuel discussions on the films presented. The public will be able to vote for their favorite work.

This project is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Government of Quebec and the City of Drummondville under the Cultural Development Agreement. (CGM)

Les Brunantes are presented free of charge on the following dates:

September 23 and 24
