The Acting Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the presence of the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, inaugurated today (Wednesday) a number of educational projects with the modern construction system in Jeddah Governorate.

The Minister of Education confirmed that these educational projects were completed with the modern construction system, within the fast track as a first stage, in a record time that did not exceed 50 days, under the directives of the rational leadership and its generous support for education in all parts of Saudi Arabia, and continuous attention and follow-up by the advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Emir of Mecca Al Mukarramah, the acting Emir of the region, supporting the Jeddah Governorate, and integrating the efforts of the governmental and private sectors concerned with the governorate with the efforts of the Ministry.

Al-Sheikh pointed out that these projects were implemented in accordance with the latest architectural designs that provide a safe and attractive educational environment for school employees, praising the achievements and representing a success story in the speed of response and dealing with the educational effects of the project to remove and develop slums in Jeddah.

He added that the Ministry of Education has developed an integrated plan to address the effects resulting from the removal project, in terms of integration and cooperation between all government sectors, and the continuous endeavor to provide appropriate alternatives, and quickly, before the beginning of the new school year, to ensure that the educational process for students of those schools does not stop in attendance at the headquarters the study.

Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh explained that the ministry’s plan includes 71 school projects with a total capacity of approximately 50,000 students, noting that 25 projects have been completed, comprising 272 classrooms in a number of schools in neighborhoods with a high population density, accommodating more than 8,160 male and female students. In addition to the implementation of 10 other rapid projects, including 282 classrooms, with a capacity of 8,460 students, all of which will be used by the beginning of the new academic year 1444.

The Minister of Education indicated that the Ministry is currently working on implementing 36 school projects with its facilities, including 1080 classrooms, with a capacity of 32,400 male and female students that will be benefited from at the beginning of the second semester this year, and the completion period will be about 4 months, in addition to upcoming educational projects, according to the tables. approved time for implementation.

The Minister of Education extended his thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership for the attention and generous care of the education sector, good guidance and unlimited generous support, extending thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Advisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, his deputy, the Governor of Jeddah, leaders of government sectors in the region, and all partners in this achievement from private sector; For their keenness to achieve this achievement, and to adapt all the challenges that faced the implementation of these projects.
