The number eight of Aviron Bayonnais and the Argentinian hooker were impactful against La Rochelle. They greatly contributed to the victory of Bayonne (13-12), while in the opposite camp, the Maritimes failed in touch and Tolu Latu had difficulty with his throws.

What to say ? Uzair Cassiem only spent 50 minutes on Jean Dauger’s pitch, but what a riot of energy! The hooker made 17 tackles in 63 minutes on the pitch. Only Pierre Huguet (22) did better. Saturday evening, he also scratched a ground ball (20th) on a charge from Grégory Alldritt. On the following action, after a new charge from the number eight of the France team, he helped Tevita Tatafu to scratch the ball. Clean on his throws, he set an example in the fight. The following ones (12th, 34th, 39th) are not straight. The one in the 34th minute hurts the Maritimes because Stade Rochelais is then on a high, five meters from the opposing goal. Overall, La Rochelle’s touch was not good, since Ronan O’Gara’s men only had 82% of their balls.
UJ Seuteni seemed to lack direction on Saturday evening. Twice (14th, 45th) on launches, he does not get along with Antoine Hastoy and the ball falls to the ground. He also had a ball snatched from him in a ruck (46th), then committed a forward attack (54th). A match to forget.
The right-hander has not been at the level that one would expect from an international pillar. He commits a forward in the running game (25th), conceded three penalties and sometimes seemed to suffer in closed scrums, a sector where he was opposed to Matis Perchaud.
