According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the groups most in need of the influenza vaccine include:
– Children during the first five years of life.
– Elderly people over 65 years of age.
– People with chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart, chest, liver and kidney diseases.
– People with weak immunity as a result of some diseases or medications that stabilize the immune system, and those who have undergone spleen removal or organ transplantation, such as a cochlear implant.
– Pregnant women, especially in the second and third trimesters and up to two weeks after giving birth
– Health workers.
