The Journey of Radovan Vujanovic: From Vienna Youth Teams to Sports Director at LASK

The thoroughbred striker began his career with the SK Rapid and Austria youth teams in Vienna. The then 22-year-old Radovan Vujanovic scored 24 goals in 28 games for the young violets.

At the latest, the interest of clubs outside of Austria in the Serbian-born “Regional League East Player of the Year 2004” was aroused.

After several successful positions in East Germany (including: Magdeburg and Hansa Rostock), Vujanovic returned to Austria in 2012. With his goals, he helped LASK win the title in the Central Regional League twice (69 goals in 92 games) and finally back into the 2nd league and professional football with two goals in the relegation game against Parndorf.

Four-year contract and big goals

After the end of his sporting career, Vujanovic took over the position of sports director at LASK in 2021 and signed a four-year contract as sports director at LASK in March 2023.
