The price of the dollar rose today, Thursday, against the pound, in 10 banks operating in Egypt, at the end of trading, compared to its level at the end of yesterday’s trading.
The average exchange rate of the dollar against the pound rose by 63 piasters, to record 27.01 pounds for purchase, and 27.11 pounds for sale, according to Central Bank data today, to reach a historic level.
And the price of the dollar jumped in banks yesterday, after the Al-Ahly Bank and Egypt Bank offered certificates with a high return, ranging between 22.5 and 25%.

National Bank of Egypt: 26.95 pounds for purchase, 27 pounds for sale, an increase of 70 piasters for buying and selling.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank: 27.20 pounds for purchase, 27.25 pounds for sale, an increase of 1.05 pounds for buying and selling.
Al Baraka Bank: 26.75 pounds for purchase, and 26.85 pounds for sale, with an increase of 30 piasters for buying and selling.
Housing and Development Bank: 27 pounds for purchase, 27.10 pounds for sale, an increase of 65 piasters for buying and selling.
