The junior football team meets Syria.. today

Today, Saturday, the junior football team will open its Asian qualifiers against the Syrian national team at nine o’clock in the evening. Jordan will host the qualifiers at Prince Mohammed Stadium in Zarqa, where it is in the first group, which includes alongside it and Syria, Japan – the holder of the title of the last edition of the tournament -, the Philippines and Turkmenistan. The team, led by national coach Abdullah Al-Qatiti, will play its second match against the Philippines on Wednesday, Turkmenistan on Friday, and finally Japan on the following Sunday. The team had recently participated in a training camp in the UAE.

The qualifiers include 44 teams distributed into 10 groups held in the pool system, so that 6 groups included 4 teams, and 4 groups included 5 teams. The first place in each group will qualify for the 2023 Asian Finals, along with the top 5 second-placed teams.
