The perpetrators of the Moscow massacre were said to have taken ISIS’s favorite drug.
This drug, known as “Chemical Courage” or Captagon, is the same that the terrorists had taken Hamas before launching the deadly October 7 attack in the south Israel.
According to a report by the British newspaper The Sun, citing the Baza news website, which has links to Russian law enforcement agencies, traces of this psychotropic substance were found in blood samples of Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, 32, Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, 30, Shamsidin Fariduni, 25, and Mukhammadsobir Faizov, 19, arrested for the massacre that left more than 140 dead at the Crocus City Hall concert venue on the outskirts of Moscow.
Around 6,000 people are believed to have been inside the venue where Russian rock band Picnic were performing when the worst attack in two decades began in Russia with the gunmen cold-bloodedly executing anyone in sight and then setting fire to the building to prevent anyone from escaping alive.
What is the drug used by ISIS terrorists
The drug Captagon, used by ISIS fighters before battles to suppress their fear, is a psychostimulant drug, consisting of a combination of amphetamine and theophylline.
It is one of the names of the synthetic drug phenethylline hydrochloride, which began to be marketed in 1961 and was widely used for about 25 years as a mild alternative to amphetamines, including for the treatment of ADHD in children and less commonly as an antidepressant and of narcolepsy.
According to iefimerida, unlike amphetamines, this drug does not increase blood pressure, which is why it could be used in people with cardiovascular problems. However, it is a highly addictive substance and was banned in 1986 in most countries.
Captagon keeps its users alert for long periods of time, makes them feel more active and happy, which is why they have dubbed it “chemical courage.” It is a drug of choice for ISIS jihadists in Syria according to the Saudi Pharmaceutical Association as it turns terrorists into “killing machines”.
