The Last of Us: Part 1 releases trailer highlighting accessibility features and Xbox boss praises them

A new blog post gives a much more in-depth account of the 60+ options that will be in the game.

The website accessibility features is fantastic news for break down the various barriers that prevent some people from being able to play the titles they want to play. Naughty Dog is a pioneer in this area, having demonstrated it with The Last of Us: Part II. Now it looks like the same thing is going to happen, and could even go further, with The Last of Us: Part 1.

There are over 60 accessibility options for you to play the game the way you want.PlayStation released a new trailer outlining the highlights some of accessibility features The Last of Us: Part I will bring. Anyway, the complete list is updated and detailed, with video examplesis further explained in the official PlayStation blog post.

As seen above in the tweet, these are over 60 accessibility options “so you can play the game your way”. Broadly speaking, the accessibility options that PlayStation details on its blog are grouped under the following headings:

  • Accessibility Presets
  • Alternate controls
  • Magnification and visual aids
  • Travel sickness
  • Navigation and travel
  • Text-to-speech and audio signals
  • Combat Accessibility
  • Subtitles
  • Game difficulty

Even Phil Spencer was kind enough to praise Naughty Dog for the great job they’ve done with these accessibility options, which aim to break down the barriers that keep you from playing a video game.

The title will be released on September 2 in a way exclusively for the PS5but it will be available on PC at a later date. It’s been three days since Joel and Ellie thrilled us once again in the launch trailer for The Last of Us: Part 1. There was also a first video preview of The Last of Us series on HBO , featuring new characters on stage.
