The latest movie in the “Spider-Man” series is facing a crisis that may prevent it from being shown in some Arab countries.

And cinemas in the UAE announced that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will not be shown because it includes a scene showing a banner supporting transgender people.

Spider-Man movie crisis

The movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which was shown for the first time at the end of last month in California in the United States of America, sparked great controversy because of a scene in which a banner appeared with the words “Protecting Mutant Children” written in English.

And a message spread on social media saying: “Attention to mothers and fathers, the new Disney movie, Spider-Man, which will be shown in cinemas, promotes homosexuality and sexual transformation.. Pay attention to your children.”

It is noteworthy that last year, many Arab countries banned the screening of the movie “Light Year”, because of the scene of a kiss between two women.
