The Directorate of Health in Menoufia announced the launch of the revitalization campaign forFamily planning and health Today, Sunday, under the slogan (You have the right to organize) to provide free family planning and reproductive health services in the cities and villages of the governorate. This comes within the keenness of the Ministry of Health and Population to sustainably achieve the desired goals of the National Program for Family Development under the auspices of the President of the Republic and in continuation of the revitalization campaigns carried out by the population and family planning sector in the Ministry.
This came under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Hossam Abbas, Head of the Family Planning Sector at the Ministry, and Major General Ibrahim Abu Lemon. Menoufia Governorate and the directives of Dr. Khaled Jamal Abdel Ghani, Wakeel Ministry of Health in Menoufia, and under the supervision of Dr. Amal Al-Arabi, Director of the Family Planning Department in the Directorate.
The activities of the first phase of the campaign were launched this Sunday morning in the administrations of Shebin El-Koum, Menouf, Sars El-Layan and Barakat El-Sabaa, and the campaign will continue until next Thursday, corresponding to 16/6/2022.
It is noteworthy that activities continued in the rest of the departments of the first phase, in Menouf, Sars El-Layan and Barakat El-Sabaa, where a presentation was presented medical services For the women beneficiaries, through the fixed and mobile medical teams of the campaign, from the awareness seminars for women, and the health advice provided to them to help them reach the idea of women’s organization of their lives and their families and to preserve their health and the health of their families through various family planning topics, as well as the exhibition held to display handmade products to encourage women to resist the high cost of living from through women’s clubs.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Menoufia explained that the campaign includes family planning services, reproductive health services, including pregnancy follow-up, ultrasound examination and women’s examination, in addition to medical examination in the specialties of internal medicine and children, in addition to Awareness and educational seminars It is held in youth centers, local units, and civil associations on the importance of family planning, the available means, and the risks of early and frequent marriage and childbearing.
He added that the campaign aims to provide all its services free of charge to the targeted women through the fixed teams bhealth units In addition to the mobile clinics in the slum areas most in need of service to ensure that the service reaches the remote and slum areas in the hamlets and villages throughout the governorate.
He pointed out that the medical staff participating in the campaign, including doctors, nurses, rural pioneers and educators, were trained on the campaign’s work, emphasizing the media role, and the role of rural pioneers in implementing awareness and educational seminars, in addition to intensifying the necessary indicative propaganda for citizens, at the campaign locations and dates throughout the governorate.
