The Directorate of Health in Minya announced the launch of the activation campaign for family planning and reproductive health tomorrow, Sunday, under the slogan “Your Right to Organize”, to provide family planning and reproductive health services free of charge in the cities and villages of the governorate. Dr. Mohamed Nady, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Minya, said that the campaign comes within the framework of implementing the directives of the Ministry of Health and Population, on the need for family planning and reproductive health services to arrive as a guaranteed right for all citizens, because of its positive impact on maternal and child health, raising community awareness and increasing demand for family planning services. Stressing that the campaign aims to disseminate and provide free family planning services and means in all centers and villages of the governorate through hospitals, health units and mobile clinics.
For her part, Dr. Wafaa Badawi, Director General of the Family Planning Department, said that the examination will be signed, reproductive health drugs will be provided, family planning services will be provided in mobile clinics, specialists in fixed units, and modern family planning methods will be provided free of charge, in addition to providing health education services.
She explained that the campaign will be at the level of all health departments in the governorate, and includes two phases, as the first phase begins from Sunday, June 12, until Thursday, June 16, in the centers of Al-Adwa, Bani Mazar, Abu Qurqas, Mallawi and Dermwas, and the second phase starts from June 19 to 23 in Maghagha, Mattay, Samalut and Minya.
