The announcement of the Health Protection and Environment Association of the Chalandritsa Health Center states:
With the slogan “Be the change you are waiting for” and the vehicle of cooperation, the Voluntary action Let’s do it Greece addressed a nationwide call to Associations, Institutions, Schools and citizens to clean the forests, with the removal of garbage and the protection of greenery, in view of of the fire season, on Sunday, April 15.
The Association for the Protection of Health and the Environment of the Health Center of Chalandritsa responded to the call and organized, in cooperation with local Agencies, the cleaning of the garbage in the area around the Health Center of Chalandritsa and the hill of Prophet Ilias.
Collaborated: the Primary School of Chalandritsa with 20 students, the teachers and the Principal Mrs. Paschalidou Sofia, the Ecclesiastical Councils of the Holy Churches of the Dormition of the Theotokos and Agios Athanasios, the High Priest Commissioner of the former Municipality of Faro, Father Dimitrios Papageorgiou and the Cultural Association of Chalandritsa, sending the message of unity, cooperation, collective and individual responsibility towards the environment and the best life we all desire!
The pan-Hellenic voluntary action, Let’s do it Greece, which was started by a group of sensitized young people in 2012 and this year was supported by 1000 participations of Organizations, Associations, Schools, Municipalities, voluntary groups in every corner of Greece, sends an optimistic message regarding the responsibility of citizens, all of us, about the life we want and deserve!
So let’s be the change we’ve been waiting for!
