The Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicilloreloaded the ink on the responsibility of the previous government in that loan and came out at the crossroads of the criticism that this sector makes of the administration of the Front of All. “The loan with the IMF was a trap that we are trying to get out of”defined the provincial president.

Kicillof’s pronouncement ratifies, at the same time, the support that the sector of the Frente de Todos in which he is aligned will give in Congress to the treatment of the Technical Memorandum that the Government of Alberto Fernández arrived with the multilateral organization.

The governor warned that one of the reasons why he supports the result of the negotiations that lasted several weeks points to “avoid a catastrophe” economic and on which we must “mitigate its consequences”.

In this way, the provincial president expressed his position on the agreement just hours after the closing of the negotiations that the Fund’s staff held with the Argentine economic team headed by Martín Guzmán. However, he made it clear that “The most important debt” that his administration has “is with the people of Buenos Aires”.

“The Front of All would never have gone to knock on the doors of the IMF”

The statement was made through a message on Twitter, where he included a video of his speech before the Buenos Aires Legislature, in which he refers to the issue of debt.

There, the Kicillof had said that “The agreement with the International Monetary Fund seeks to avoid a catastrophe and mitigate the unfortunate consequences of a loan that was requested and granted in an equally irresponsible manner”.

“More than a loan, it was a real trap, and we are trying to get out of that trap”remarked and pointed out the responsibility that the opposition of Together for Change has in the matter.

“Let it be clear –he stressed-: The Front of All had and has nothing to do with the origin of this debtand I would never have gone knocking on the doors of the IMF.”

He also added that “the people of Buenos Aires were not the ones who went to call the IMF nor did they grant this credit.” And then he charged the ink on the responsibility of the macrismo: “Convene the Monetary Fund between roosters and midnight, and obtain the largest loan in history, thus facilitating once again the cycle of indebtedness and flight It is something that we will not forget and we will not forgive”, sentenced the president.
