The Malian Hadi GUINDO TOURE, A Young Talent of AMSIC, is one of the 14

Winner of the grant from the International Water Association (IWA) and the GRUNDFOS company, Hadi GUINDO TOURE is one of the 14 other winners.

Hadi and the other laureates were invited to receive their distinction on Wednesday March 22 at the United Nations, as part of World Water Day.

A graduate of the University of Central Florida (UCF), she carried out research for several years on the treatment of products for personal use, pharmaceutical products and micropollutants by nanofiltration and reverse osmosis at the research institute “ESEI (Environmental Systems Engineering Institute) in Florida. His research focused on the filtration of perfluorinated compounds (PFOA and PFOS) present in plastic and anti-adhesive materials. The objective of his master’s thesis was to assess the transition fromAward winner perfluorinated compounds through flat nanofiltration membranes from a laboratory device dedicated to water treatment.

Since 2016, Hadi has coordinated waste awareness, training and mentoring projects for young girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in rural Mali.

Employed at the Malian Drinking Water Management Company (SOMAGEP) since 2018, she is the coordinator of the Waterworx project (in partnership with a water company in the Netherlands) whose main objective is to facilitate access to drinking water and sanitation for 10 million people by 2030 in 26 countries in Africa and Asia.

Our rare seed’s burning desire is to impact and inspire more people on water-related issues. because it believes that it is the ideal way in Africa to promote the supply of drinking water in rural and semi-urban areas, facilitate the recycling of wastewater and improve WASH systems for resilience in the face of problems related to climate change .
