The Ministry of the Interior revealed the ambiguity in what was reported on social media regarding the entry fees on the Egyptian portal for Hajj and Umrah.
The ministry said in a statement that the collection of fees, the financial sum, to enter the Egyptian portal for Hajj and Umrah, will only be from the organizing and executing authorities of the Hajj, and it will not be collected from citizens applying to perform the Hajj or the winners of the Hajj opportunity.
The Ministry of the Interior stated that the Law of Organizing Hajj and Establishing the Unified Egyptian Portal for Hajj No. 84 of 2022 specified the value of the fees stipulated for entering the portal in accordance with the organizing rules in this regard, and the fees will be collected from the organizing and executing agencies for Hajj only, and will not be collected from citizens applying to perform the obligatory duty. Hajj or winners of the opportunity to perform Hajj.
