The Directorate of Health and different areas dependent on the Secretariat of Human Development of the Municipality of La Banda jointly carried out advice and different controls, within the framework of World Health Day, in the city’s Sarmiento pedestrian street.
The aforementioned date was established on April 7, 1948which was chosen in commemoration of the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO). Its purpose is to recognize health as a basic and universal right, as well as to promote access to quality health care in all regions of the world, especially in the population with limited resources, and therefore, different organizations around the world the world carry out activities of all kinds, to raise awareness about global deadly diseases and encourage healthy habits in people.
On the occasion, the workers were accompanied by the Director of Health, Cesar Scabuzzo; the Secretary of Human Development, Ramiro Barrera; the director of Neighborhood Councils, Diego Torres and other authorities present.
During the day, personnel from the Health Directorate, Social Development Directorate and the Health Education Office carried out blood pressure and blood glucose checks on all the people who came to the stand, which they located in the mentioned pedestrian. In addition, they carried out different types of advice regarding the medical care provided by the municipality in its different CAMMs and others.
In this sense, Dr. Scabuzzo said: “On this very important day, we work with different dependencies, we are working on the dissemination of those activities that the municipality offers, since the municipality is always very present in the national and world schedule of what is related to health, particularly the provincial one, so that all the related actions that are not independent of this, are as important as the different programs that are developed for the care of hygiene, the environment, sports and others .
“In this guide and reference of events related to health, the municipality, through the municipal executive, emphasizes that we demonstrate that we are present at each event and feh important of this type and that we urge the population to join, participate and internalize clearly in prevention of all diseases” concluded the official.
