The Musicians Syndicate in Egypt responded to the abuse suffered by the singer Sherine Abdel Wahab, after the Saudi actress Reem Abdullah imitated her, taking advantage of her recent crisis with addiction in addition to her family problems.
And the official spokesman for the Syndicate of Musical Professions, Muhammad Abdullah, said in a press statement: “About what is reported of ridicule or contempt from any person towards another person, we know very well that the artist belongs to his audience, and we appreciate the audience’s shock when he hears any negative news about an artist he loves and appreciates.” On the other hand, people’s lives are full of successes and failures.
He added: “It is not permissible for us to face any failure of any person by bullying and ridicule, especially since failure negatively affects the life of its owner, so we do not make the matter worse by bullying and ridiculing him. And if the artist has a credit with his fans, he should not cancel his credit suddenly in the hearts of his fans in In the event of any disturbances in his personal life.
He called on “bullies and those with arrows directed at the artist Sherine” to learn “to stand beside a person in any ordeal he goes through” and to “stay away from gloating, bullying and ridicule.”
As for Sherine’s business manager, Ihab Saleh, he expressed his dissatisfaction with what happened in a tweet via “Twitter”: “Those who will say this is a personal opinion. Adab, or as her business manager, we will certainly take the necessary action along the way.
And the Saudi artist, Reem Abdullah, had adapted the song “Jarh Tani” by Sherine and performed it through a program on MBC, to ridicule the singer’s recent crises.
Abdullah appeared on the stage in a form similar to Shirin, and performed her song, in which it was stated: “Tani’s beat is my heart. It’s still good from the first… I go to him again, he’s my heart, he forgets his first beat.”
