Were you impatiently awaiting the next generation of iPhone SE? Well, you’re going to have to be a little more patient, since it shouldn’t arrive before 2025.
When will the future fourth-generation iPhone SE arrive? This year or in 2024? According to the Korean media The Elec, it would be neither. Apple’s OLED panel supplier, BOE, would encounter so many supply and performance difficulties in the screens produced that it would absolutely not be able to fulfill orders for the iPhone SE 4.
For now, all of Apple’s requests and its suppliers’ goals are focused on the future iPhone 15 and its OLED display. It is therefore difficult to expect the iPhone SE 4 to be released this year. In 2024, according to The Elec, this remains unlikely, so much so that Apple could “reconsider product positioning and return on investment” of the iPhone SE 4.
Under such conditions, the future entry-level iPhone should not be released before 2025, especially since the high production costs linked to the design change do not help matters.
