The department and the Antoine Lacassagne center inaugurated the new Mozart center. A unique place in France to help in the fight against cancer.
Located in the same place as the old Mozart clinic, the institute has had a makeover. To ensure optimal quality of life for patients, many actions have been taken. The institute presents a unique and unique offer open free of charge to all people affected by cancer. Patients will benefit from care, support and support. But they will also be able to access a psycho-social support. To talk about this disease, awareness and prevention workshops will be offered. And finally, professionals will also be able to come and share their experiences. To care for patients, the institute has 21 professionals at their service. The building spreads over four floors and is composed of fourteen rooms consultation, two of which are made available to associations. But also two therapeutic workshops, a physical activity room and an educational kitchen.
Acting for quality of life
This was the focus of the department president’s speech, Charles Ange Ginésy, it is important to take care of the quality of life of the Maralpins. The center is more than a building; it will also be a means of combating the isolation of certain people. Indeed, the associations or even the center itself will meet people suffering from cancer in the valleys of the Alpes-Maritimes. For this he will be able to rely on the support of the center Antoine Lacassagne. The teacher Emmanuel Barranger recalled: “ This is an evolution for our establishment. Allow patients temporarily weakened by cancer and its treatments to receive supportive and supportive care or even advice and information.”
Cancer a destructive disease
Cancer is the leading cause of death in France. Approximately 160,000 people die every year. For several years, new cases detected have remained at the same level.
