The Cry of Independence is one of the most important historical events in Mexico. With this national harangue the beginning of the fight for the autonomy of the Aztec country is celebrated every September 15. In addition to this festivity, and a day later, the traditional Civic-Military Parade will take place. Find out all the information regarding this Mexican Parade for the national month.

As part of the commemoration of the 213 years of the Grito de Dolores, incited and promoted by the priest and insurgent soldier, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, this Saturday, September 16, the patriotic act will be held where the soldiers and components of the National Guard, Army, Navy and Air Force will march and parade demonstrating all operational and logistical capacity at the service of the protection of the people of Mexico.

The great event will take place after the Cry of Independence on the night of Friday, September 15, and the artistic show during the early hours of the same day of the Civic-Military Parade.

In this great event, it is estimated that 66 military vehicles will participate, in addition to 16 themed vehicles, 11 boats, 6 Texan-type aircraft and 23 canine elements.

START TIME AND ROUTE OF THE 2023 CIVIC-MILITARY PARADE IN MEXICO

The civil-military parade is scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 16 from 10:00 in the morning (Mexico time) and will be led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

With the participation of more than 18 thousand soldiers, armed elements, and troops. This year’s military parade is in commemoration of the Independence of Mexico and the 200 years of the creation of the Military College, so expectations about the level are high.

The route is expected to begin at the height of Pino Suárez from where it will advance towards the plaza of the Plaza de la Constitución, better known as Zócalo.

The next stops will be 5 de Mayo Street, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Paseo de la Reforma Avenue towards Chapultepec and National Auditorium.

Likewise, and for the Civic-Military Parade to take place successfully, the pedestrian and vehicular accesses that delimit the Zócalo of CDMX will be obstructed.
