German edition games economy reported that the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection has allocated a subsidy of 3.17 million euros to the studio Piranha Bytes for the development of a new game.
The next title from the creators of Gothic and ELEX is codenamed WIKI6 and is scheduled for release in early 2026. It is expected to be a role playing game again. Whether this will be a new franchise or a new part of an existing one is unknown.
Piranha Bytes’ latest game is ELEX II, released in March 2022.
