The next event series of TF1 will be shot in Eastern Pyrenees ! The department will serve as the setting for “Lost River”, a detective story (see synopsis) spread over six 52-minute episodes. Ceret, Le Boulou, Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste and the whole Vallespir will soon welcome the production teams and the actors.
The next series of TF1 filmed in the Pyrénées-Orientales
The filming of this series will last more than three months, June 5 and September 14, 2023, confirm to News Perpignan, the Mire filming company, responsible for promoting the territory of Vallespir for hosting filming. The broadcast date has not yet been revealed, but we can logically hope to see the plot unfold on the small screen during 2024.
The local Barbara Cabrita or Olivier Marchal, who likes the Catalan country just as much for having shot and directed several films in the department (including the last “Overdose”), are the first names revealed in the cast of this series.
A casting that is not quite complete, since an important role is currently sought.
Lost River – The Synopsis
The Rivière Perdue series is a mountain village cornered once morest the highest peaks of the Pyrenees. This is where two 11-year-old girls disappear one day. Despite the mobilization of the village, we have never found their traces. Five years later, a car wrecked in a ravine and the body of a man are found. Next to the car, an injured and disoriented teenage girl, but alive: Anna, one of the missing girls. The news of Anna’s reappearance does not overshadow the fact that she was not alone at the time of her disappearance, but in the company of Lucie Perez, her best friend. The surroundings of the accident are immediately probed in search of her without result: Lucie cannot be found, but the investigation is relaunched in the face of this spectacular rebound. The investigation is entrusted in joint referral to the criminal brigade and the gendarmerie. Commissioner Baltus, who was already on the case 5 years ago, and the young lieutenant Alix Stern, land at Rivière Perdue. They will collaborate with Captain Victor Ferrer at the head of the local gendarmerie and a native of the area, who was also on the investigation 5 years ago. Anna’s reappearance raises many questions. Why wasn’t Lucie in the car with Anna? If the man driving was the one who took the little ones, it was possible that Lucie was locked up somewhere. How long can she hold on alone? …
An important role for a little boy, extras sought following
The film crew is indeed looking for a young boy between 4 and 6 years old, of all origins to interpret the child of Pierre in the series. No gaming experience is required. The only other criterion: candidates must reside in Occitania.
At the same time, the series is looking for young girls and young boys, aged between 4 and 16 years old, to make figuration. Children of all origins but who must live in the Pyrénées-Orientales, it says.
And good news for all those who would be interested in these announcements: a big casting is organized this Thursday, April 27, in Céret, in order to find this last important role in the series, as well as the many extras. The meeting is given at Maison France services, 6 boulevard Simon-Battle, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
