The Department of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics has published the evolution of the number of beds in intensive care, resuscitation and continuous monitoring services in France between 2013 and 2019 and 2020.
Overall, at the national level, the number of beds in all of these three services increased from 18,336 in 2013 to 19,604 in 2019, to reach 20,310 in 2020. This number increased in all services between 1013 and 2019, then between 2019 and 2020 with one exception: beds under continuous supervision decreased slightly between 2019 and 2020.
In detail, there were in France in 2020: 6,212 beds in intensive care, 5,984 in intensive care and 8,114 beds in continuous monitoring
