Dr. Kawthar Mahmoud added that the nursing staff performs about 70% of the medical services provided in health facilities, pointing out that the president’s decision will contribute to the state’s plan to eliminate the nursing deficit, and even motivate students to enroll in nursing colleges, which is an incentive to attract students to join the profession. .

She said that Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, was keen to inform the union of the president’s decision personally, and continued: “I received a phone call from Dr. Mohamed Maait immediately after his meeting with the president to inform me of the president’s approval to raise the excellence award for nursing students, which was one of the union’s demands for many years, advanced I would like to thank him for his efforts in this matter.”

She added that a discussion was held with the Minister of Finance, the incentive of 13% of the basic wage, with a minimum of 100 pounds, for those who are addressed by special laws such as Law 14 on regulating incentives for medical professions, in addition to an additional incentive starting from 175 pounds to 400 pounds according to the job grade, pointing out that it will be conducted Activating these incentives, concession incentives, and incentives for health sector workers for the new fiscal year, July 2022.
