Santiago de Cali, March 25, 2022. With the task of retaining the title of the national and paranational fairs in the 2023 National Games, which will be held in the Coffee Region, the Government of Valle del Cauca from Indervalle strengthens the team of the Competition Area and the Sports Medicine Center.
In this way, Valle del Cauca becomes the only department in Colombia with a Sports Medicine Center, which includes six professionals in the sports nutrition team, two in the Paralympic sector and 4 in the conventional sector, with added value and it is that several have been high-performance athletes and have the opportunity to start their professional working life with the entity, facilitating a transition from sports to professional working life. Within the team are athletes such as Angélica Suárez, outstanding in swimming races, Karen Silva in archery, Natalia Giraldo and David Peña in skating.
The objective with these professionals is to be able to provide personalized and constant advice for nutritional and anthropometric assessment, deliver meal plans, nutritional education, sweating rates and different activities with advice for the sports leagues of Valle del Cauca with a view to the national fairs.
