The OIC salutes the efforts of HM King Mohammed VI for the defense of Al-Quds and the triumph of the Palestinian cause

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, praised the efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for the defense of Al-Quds and the triumph of the cause Palestinian.

Mr. Ibrahim Taha spoke on Tuesday during the reception at the headquarters of the organization in Jeddah of a delegation from the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, led by Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, director in charge of the management of the agency, on the sidelines of the 2nd meeting of governmental experts, which concluded its work on Thursday.

During this meeting, which was devoted to examining the modalities of cooperation with the agency with a view to expanding its efforts to support the city of Al Quds and the resistance of its population, Mr. Brahim Taha underlined the importance of the role played by the Agency as the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee, emphasizing the need to continue implementing the resolutions inviting Member States to support its budget and programs.

He reaffirmed, in this regard, the willingness of the OIC General Secretariat to strengthen its cooperation with the agency in order to facilitate its tasks and mobilize more financial resources and technical expertise to contribute to the realization of its projects. in the holy city of Al Quds.

Likewise, the organisation’s secretary general stressed the importance of convening regular meetings to shed light on the agency’s work, take stock of its projects in Al-Quds and encourage member states to contribute the necessary support, in accordance with the laws and regulations that govern its work.

For his part, Mr. Cherkaoui reviewed the agency’s actions and achievements in the holy city of Al-Quds, under the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.

He thus referred to the agency’s working method in terms of financing projects in Al Quds, which proved that this institution remains the ideal tool for coordinating the Arab and Islamic support given to the holy city, in a complementary manner with the other institutions.
The delegation of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency participated, from November 22 to 24, in the 2nd meeting of intergovernmental experts to review the mid-term program of the OIC by 2025.
